Chelsea have been crowned champions of the world — and they did it in style.
In front of a sold-out MetLife Stadium crowd in New Jersey, the Blues took down Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 to lift their first-ever FIFA Club World Cup title. Under new manager Enzo Maresca, Chelsea looked organized, fearless, and absolutely ruthless from the opening whistle.
Cole Palmer Leads the Charge
Cole Palmer stole the show once again, continuing his breakout campaign with two first-half goals. The 22-year-old opened the scoring in the 12th minute, drifting inside from the right and smashing a low left-footed shot past the PSG keeper.
Just 15 minutes later, he was back on the scoresheet, capitalizing on a rebound to make it 2-0 and put Chelsea firmly in control. Palmer now adds “Club World Cup Final hero” to what’s becoming an all-star resume.
João Pedro Seals It
New summer signing João Pedro, brought in from Brighton, made sure there was no chance of a PSG comeback. In the 64th minute, Malo Gusto whipped in a dangerous low cross, and Pedro calmly slotted it home to give Chelsea a 3-0 cushion and seal the win.
PSG Lacking Firepower in Post-Mbappé Era
With Kylian Mbappé no longer in the squad, PSG looked toothless in attack. Despite flashes from Bradley Barcola and Kang-in Lee, they couldn’t crack Chelsea’s disciplined defense. Levi Colwill and Axel Disasi held the line with poise, while Enzo Fernández and Moisés Caicedo dominated the midfield.
Chelsea keeper Djordje Petrović barely had to break a sweat, keeping a clean sheet in one of the club’s most dominant performances of the season.
Enzo Maresca Makes His Mark
In just his first few months at the helm, Enzo Maresca has delivered international silverware. The former Leicester City boss has quickly instilled a clear identity at Chelsea — high tempo, tactical control, and fearless attacking football.
With young stars like Palmer, João Pedro, and Colwill leading the next era, Chelsea fans have every reason to believe this is just the beginning.
